back when this came out i loved it, mainly because i was 7, but it is still good i cant see what the critics dont like about it. sure it's not scary but i think it's more of a film for younger movie fans.

Godzilla for it's day was amazing and it was pretty funny to see this colassel huge big ass lizard devour fisherman and terrorize boats. It was a good movie overall but bad directing. Nothing like Jurassic Park because it looks like one of them....

Godzilla is really good, but it's hard to chose your favorite Godzilla movie because there call good in my opinion. I've seen them all Japanese version upto the American version, I've seen them all. But this one is the most interesting because we find out how Godzilla formed, and why all the other Godzilla started from. Godzilla has to be the best Sci-Fi movie that I've ever seen.

I love this movie. Basically it is a American version of the famous Japanese monster. I like how Godzilla looked in this movie but they didn't give him the atomic breath. You might think the scene where godzilla blasts the cars following him is his atomic breath but it isn't. 3 voice actors from the show the Simpsons was in this movie 1. Hank Azaria (animal) who does the voices of Moe, Apu, etc. 2. Harry Shearer (the reporter) voice of Mr.Burns, Smithers, etc. and 3. Nancy Cartwright (secretary) voice of Bart. It was a good movie but just the usual plot for monster movies. Monster attacks city, humans try to kill it, monster lays eggs, humans kill monster but don't kill eggs, eggs hatch, humans kill eggs, monster comes back to life, humans kill monster again.
Overall fantastic movie

It looks better in caparison to the original movies, and also takes place not in Japan, but the big Apple itself. This time we don't have some weird story of how Godzilla will save even though we don't know it vibe. This time Godzilla is having babies and nests in New York. Making an interesting story and lots of babies. It is a good remake of a classic series and is worth a look at.

Matthew Broderick is the everyman figure. Once again, this individual is the only one free to move about and do the kind of thinking that will help them stop the beast's path of destruction. The worst thing about this movie is the cheesy, pointless, nyah-nyah-nyah jabs at New York by L.A. people. You know most movies are made in Los Angeles. So when New York City gets wrecked, in perhaps the first-ever appearance of the monster outside the Pacific Rim, you know it's just a tasteless, tacky shot by Hollywood at the land of the Knicks and Rangers. That's what they waste instead of the Tokyo train system. If you can ignore this moment of weakness, you may wring some enjoyment out of Broderick's wit and the scientists' panic. You'd still be better off if you watch an old-school Godzilla film. And if you live in Tokyo...carpool, okay?
