Interesting film to see the cast - Jean Arthur plays more conservative than later films, there is an early appearance by Dub Taylor, Lionel Barrymore is on crutches (soon to be completely hobbled by arthritis), and Jimmy Stewart has emerged as a full-blown Jimmy Stewart.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend the film - it's one of so many theatrical plays brought to the screen that all run together in theme and it takes only five minutes to know the plot. There is also the house filled with eccentrics who live the full life and move in and out of center stage just like a million ensemble stage productions before and since. There are some gentle laughs, but I find it too predictable to want to watch it more than once every few decades.
