RESPECT!!!

Many gamers, like myself, hate this movie because it is nothing like the game series it was based on, but I don't think it was supposed to... It was a creative take on the games. In fact, imagine if it WERE based on the games, I don't really think it would be as interesting... Just for a moment, forget about Mario, like there never was Super Mario Bros. as a movie itself, how would it be? If it really does have near nothing to do with the games, act like it's not supposed to. As a stand-alone movie, it's all right. It's creative, funny, campy, cheesy, and just overall fun to watch. It's one of those movies you have to be in the right mood to watch, you know, the kind of feeling, like a kindergardener on sugar or something (use your imagination!). I was expecting to hate it, but as it went on, it really grew on me... If cheesy is the word for it, then sign me up, cause I like it...

I give it 5 Bob-ombs out of 5.

Disrespectful to the Mario franchise. Stick with the video games.

6. There's a..um..a parallel universe over run by reptiles. There might be more reasons but you get the idea that this movie doesn't follow the Mario franchise at all and is poorly done.

This movie absolutely does NOT follow the Mario and Luigi franchise most of us know, but the valiant effort to follow the Mario story makes this film adaptation an instant classic. It's a movie you can watch anytime, anywhere, and at any place....

It's a movie you can watch anytime, anywhere, and at any place. Sure, it sucks hard, and is darn-near anywhere close to the original Mario story, but for some reason, it's a bad movie we can watch all the time.
