Lucas has spent the last 14 years in jail and now looks forward to life as a free man. Soft-spoken Perry needs money in order to allow his young daughter, Meg, to keep attending her private school. Meg hasn't spoken since her mother died, and she is all that Perry lives for. When Perry decides to rob a bank to get the money he is in need of, he takes Lucas as his hostage. The police decide at once that Lucas is invovled in the crime, and are hot on his trail as he, Perry, and Meg make a run for their lives.
