The story of friends Thomas Builds-The-Fire and Victor Joseph, two American Indian teenagers who are making their way to Arizona to retrieve the remains of Victor's alcoholic father. As the friends travel there and back, Thomas helps Victor bring out a part of himself he's been hiding since his father left, and Victor finally comes to terms with his absent father.
