A guilty pleasure. Somewhat decent plot line, coupled with half-way good effects, mainly the eyeball popping scenes....ick. This is really nothing but typical Arnold action/adventure fare. But it is a halfway decent one at that.

For some reason, when I was younger I remember I was obssessed with watching this movie, maybe becuase I was obssessed with the fact that I was unable to understand the plot, because it was too complicated for me, and had a lot of strange things around it. Now, that I am older I can understand it, and I finally get that the movie was pretty decent and very well played and done. Very good movie.

Definitely one of Arnold's must-watch. Its a sci-fi action movie that takes place in Mars.

Douglas Quaid (Arnold Schwarzenegger) decides to take a virtual trip to Mars, where he will be strapped to a machine and will experience a holiday trip in consience (a future thing). The trip soons turns against Quaid himself, as everyone he loves and cares for, is trying to kill him.
The movie has good parts of Arnold Style-action, Sharon Stone puts up a class act and the villains role has been portrayed exceptionally well by Michael Ironside.

A short review it was, but next time you're giving any second thoughts for which movie to rent in your local DVD store, give Total Recall a try if you haven't seen it yet.

Total Recal is a pretty decent movie starring good old Arnold Schwarzenegger. If you like action mixed with a bit of political stuff, this is for you.
