L.A. Confidential is a masterfull movie for the thinking person.
Starring: Kevin Spacey, Guy Pierce, Russel Crowe and Kim Basinger, L.A Confidential is a very smart and different kind of movie. The writing especialy is very good. With some realy good plot twists and story building. The characters are very very strong. You feel like you´ve met them in real life. The Dialogue for these characters is fantasticas well. The weakest part of this movie is probably the directing. It feels colorless and it´s hard to get into the movie at times. But the set dressing and cinematagrophy is great and it makes you feel like it´s the 50´s. Overall it´s a satisfying experience that holds you at the edge of your seat untill blowing you out of it.

This movie is a masterpiece. Be prepared to pay attention and read subtle nuances in the characters. This film does not hand you the answers on a silver platter. Reminiscent of the old film noir crime films. You end up hating characters you liked...

This movie is a masterpiece. Be prepared to pay attention and read subtle nuances in the characters. This film does not hand you the answers on a silver platter. Reminiscent of the old film noir crime films. You end up hating characters you liked at first, and respecting characters you hated at the beginning.

Flawless! I loved it. Fantastic performances by Russell Crowe and Kevin Spacey. For those of you looking for an excellent film, full of twists and on top of it all entertaining... well, you have to watch it.

"L.A. Confidential" was the best movie of the year and with such an amazing script and amazing cast, nothing could have gone wrong. I especially loved the back drop of this movie-the 1950s and three cops with different methods.
