Weird! Awesome! I had to view this movie several times to really wrap my mind around the ideas it was trying to get across, but now it is a "must own!" Jake and Maggie G. are both amazing actors, and Jake really brings the movie to life.

Richard Kelly has made one film that can't escape the grip of success...

Also, Mad World on the soundtrack was pretty good, it had wonderful cinematic style so it was good to hear that while it showed the scenes.

one of the three best Time Travel movies... the others being Primer and Time Bandits.

Also Frank is awesome... and it was great to hear Joy Division on the soundtrack!

I saw this movie late at night, after watching another movie, Grandmas Boy, which is a comedy. So I first watched a comedy, then switch to this drama, somewhat dark movie.

Now heard a lot about this movie, so when I saw it was on, I immediately switched to that channel. After watching it, all I can saw was, "Woah..." It was very interesting. Frank the bunny was a little creepy though, too bad Donnie shot him in the eye. Anyways when the aircraft engine almost falls on Donnie, anyways The movie ends with predestination paradox, and Donnie choosing to stay in bed, and die.

Saw it for the first time last night and I have to say I was impressed. Richard Kelley does an astonishing job for his first film, I look forward to seeing more of his movies in the future. 'Donnie Darko' is a film filled to the brim with such intrig...(read more)uing ideas, original plot turns, extraordinary visuals and riveting acting. Jake Gyllenhaal is outstanding in the lead, and the ensemble cast consisting of a humorous Patrick Swayze, a surprisingly solid Drew Barrymore and an always remarkable Jena Malone is first-rate. The only part that confused me was the ending. I'm not saying it was bad, it was just very unclear. I've been told if I watch the movie again a couple of times I'll have a better understanding of it. I recommend this to anyone who appreciates innovative filmmaking. Grade: B+

One of the most original films that have come out of Hollywood for awhile. The story is very good, and extremely compelling, and has you sitting on the edge of your seat through the whole movie. It's a truly great film. 9/10.
