Sylvester Stallone's best performance in several years came within this movie. It's a good movie, and Robert DeNiro doesn't disappoint (like he ever does). 8/10.

Sylvester Stallone plays the character of a deaf sheriff. He is investigating corruption within the NYPD. He gets help from Internal Affairs investigator Mo Tilden. This is a good movie but a little hard to follow.

  While this is probably the actor's best turn since Rocky, and he does a credible job that may earn him the opportunity to do more "serious" work in the future, Stallone's performance is outshone on all sides. That's not a knock against him; it's an acknowledgment that the supporting cast is about the best that it can be.
