Star Trek: First Contact, the series 9th feature film, represents Star Trek at it's absolute finest and delivers, not only an unbelemished balance of action and morales, but also an ingenious plot that may have many hidden unforeseen repercussions for Picard and the Federation.

First Contact is a great Star Trek movie. Even if you're not a Star Trek fan, if you like scifi TV shows and movies, then you'll love this movie.
If you're trying to get your friends or family into Star Trek, start them off with this.

this is one of my favourite star trek movies i loved how picard shoots dead the borg and gets even with them for what they have done.

Out of all Star Trek movie, The first contact has to be the best ever! The Borg is trying to distroy history and it's up to Captain Picard and his crew to save it. Jonathan Frake did an excellent job of directing this movie. It had a great specail effect and it also had a great cast. I consider this movie my all time favorite star trek movie, It is so worth watching. I give it 5 stars.

It's hard not to be a bit excited by this, I've been more of a fan of The Next Generation cast then Kirk and his crew and then add to the mix my favorate of the villains from the show, The Borg, and it's hard for me to see it not be somthing I like.

The crew of the USS Enterprise has encountered many villains, but none as menacing or powerful as the Borg Collective. In First Contact, the Borg have set their sites on assimilating Earth. Captain Jean-Luc Picard, still distrusted after being himself at one point assimilated into the Borg, races back to Earth in time for the battle and leads the remaining Federation forces to destroy the Borg Cube. But a Borg escape pod launches and goes back in time to an undefended Earth, and it's up to the Enterprise to stop them. The time period that both ships arrive in is set right before humanity made first contact with the Vulcans. The battle for the safety of humanity and to make sure that the first contact happens, soon engulfs the Enterprise as the Borg find their ways on board.

For all purposes, First Contact is the best Star Trek film, primarily because it's the first time that we've seen the ever so great Captain Jean-Luc Picard show a flaw. Here it shows his intense hatred of the Borg and wishes to destroy them at all cost. His pure hatred and drive can best be compared with the captain in Moby Dick, which is also used in the movie. For the first time, we see Jean-Luc Picard grow, along with a couple other characters such as Data who plays an integral part. The acting is superb and the action is tight and tense as you watch how frighteningly efficient the Borg are.

If you're a Star Trek fan of any kind, then First Contact is an absolute must see. For everyone else, First Contact is a great science fiction film that no one should miss out on.

Very good, and very well done. I liked the movies after this one a little better, only because the Borg can be too ruthless for my taste. A great addition to the Star Trek movie line.

This is my favourite movie! I have the director's edition of the movie. My favourite topic is time-travelling, so this is the reason why I most like this movie.
