Maybe if I hadn't read the story first, this might have been a good movie. But, for me, it was no where near that.

First off lets get this stright, I haven't seen this movie in about 15 years so I was worried it wasnt going to be as good as I remembered it. So I cracked out the DVD that I got for christmas of The Running Man and watched it last night. I was extremely happy to find that the movie was just as good as when I was 12 years old. Arnie was in his prime and didnt dissapoint. I didnt know it was a Stephen King book but who cares the movie carries its own without reading the book. I'll be watching it again and will try and get the wife to watch it too.
