A historical drama about the colonists conflict with the Native Americans before the Revolutionary War. A beautiful lady, convicted and sentenced to slavery, is bought by a militiaman (Gary Cooper), and set free. Her freedom is short-lived as a traitorous arms dealer cons his way into rebuying her, and making her his indentured servant. When the militiaman realizes he has been double-crossed by the arms dealer, he rescues her and takes her under his protection. The arms dealer then puts his master plan into motion, and goads the Indians to attack the colonists. Now the militiaman must not only protect the beautiful lady, but also confront the traitor, and stop the Indians.
