This movie tells the story a boy, while hiding in a book store, running from bullies, finds a book called the Neverending Story. He takes it and reads it in school's attic because he didn't want to take a pop quiz. In the book, he discovers that a world called, Fantasia, is in danger. It's going to explode, unless a boy saves it. So he goes on a journey to try to save it.

The visual effects might be a little cheesy but there is some good stuff here. Fantasy fans would want to cheak this out.

A fantasy story for adults where so many of us are caught up in captalistic gains, the plot is lavish and the fantasy can seem real.

Very good movie with special effects and characters. Mostly viewed by younger audiences, but a very informative movie on getting children to read.

This is one of my favorite classic movies. The Neverending Story is the most inspirational film ever made. My favorite character is the greenskin warrior named Atreyu. This feature movie is clearly based on a book.

  The idea of the story within a story is one of the nice touches in The NeverEnding Story. Another one is the idea of a child's faith being able to change the course of fate. Maybe not since the kids in the audience were asked to save Tinker Bell in Peter Pan has the outcome of a story been left so clearly up to a child's willingness to believe.
