Command Sergeant Major Zack Carey is about to retire from the military. He and his family had just moved on a new base and he had brought with him a restored Sherman tank from World War II that he uses for parades and public relations. While in town, Sgt. Major Carey sees a deputy sheriff beating a call girl in a local bar and he rushes to defend her. But when the corrupt sheriff learns about it, he arrests the Careys' son and sends him to prison. To free his son, Carey has no choice but to use his Sherman tank to get to the state line, with his son and the call girl on board, while the sheriff is on their trail.
