Great Movie. Fun characters, good music, great story. A Disney Classic.

This is a beautiful, well done Disney classic that gets to me every time. The animation is wonderful, the songs are superb and will have you singing along, the charaters are portrayed vividly and everything is top notch. This movie has a great sense of unique story that Disney has perfected. My only complaint is that Gaston's death is anticlimatic and you don't want it to be an accident. Beauty and the Beast is memorable in every way from it's characters to it's little jokes in the movie. Beauty and the Beast is superb!

This is another one of Disney's more serious movies, but unlike the Lion King, in this case it actually works. Great characters and believable emotions makes this Disney's greatest drama. It's just too bad about Disney's "Limited Edition" policy, which prevents most of us from getting a copy.

In 1991, Disney released what would be one of the best animated films of all time. Based off the folk tale of the same name, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle and her journey to the enchanted castle inhabited by the Beast who is in this beastial form due to a curse. Initially frightened by the Beast, Belle, deciding to stay in the castle in return for her father's freedom, starts to tame the Beast, and begins to garner hope for the rest of the inhabitants, who are all changed into household items, that the curse may be broken. Following the style of many Disney movies, Beauty and the Beast has its share of great musical numbers. The movie opens off with a bang and later on the well known track "Be Our Guest" comes in. The characters are a delight to watch, especially all the enchanted helpers of the castle. The voice talent is superb featuring Angela Lansbury, Paige O'Hara, and Jerry Orbach. There really isn't anything in this movie that isn't well done. Although the Beast may be a bit frightening to very young people, this is a great movie for all ages.

Overall, Beauty and the Beast is one of Disney's masterpieces. It is also one of only two animated movies to ever be nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards. This is a must see for everyone.
