BEST MOVIE EVER!!! this movie rocked and that is all there is to say. the movie had great acting and great violence! whoever casted this movie picked some great people!! the movie is long but it pulls you in right from the first acting scene which comes fast so don't worry. if your a true scarface fan then you'd played the game which is sweet!! the ending scene is tragic and also awesome at the same time!! the movie stars one of the greatest actors for the job and i'm talking about the one and only Al Pacino. he really played a great part and this movie will live on has a great movie

In this country, fitrst you get the authority, then the money, then the women. One of the best movies ever. Pacino is giving acting lessons and De Palma drives the scenes crazy. *****.

Scarface is a 80´s Mafia movie. Al Pacino interprets, for me, the best character that he ever interpret in his carrer, Tony Montana. Tony Montana in in Cuba where deported (allowed) to America, place that knows his old buddy Manny Ribera and knows Frank. Frank is Wiseguy and chief of a family who helps Tony Montana on his life, making him a respectfull gyu and a rich (very rich) one. Suddenly Tony Montana is a very important drug dealer that have his own empire. Tony becomes to much important, with the help of his friend Manny, his partner. Frank Lopez really doesn´t like that importance and try to kill him. Tony is caught in a path of lies, betrayels, a lot of drugs and law justice. With all that Tony becomes insane and is killed.

There are films that are instantly deemed classics because of their excellence in writing, direction, acting, etc. Then there are those which are derided at first, then later re-evaluated and elevated to iconic status. Scarface is the latter.

Initially maligned, this misunderstood gem eventually earned its rightful place among the pantheon of all-time great(if admittedly and proudly "B" grade) movies. Why? A savvy script by Oliver Stone, competent (if journeymanlike) direction by Brian DePalma, a dream team of supporting actors, and a towering performance for the ages by Al Pacino as Tony Montana. Yes, his performance is unabashedly hammy and over-the-top, but I dare you to try to wipe his indelible portrayal from your mind. I also dare you to try not to do a Tony Montana impression after you watch this movie- it's impossible. But for the sake of this review, I will refrain. As if all this weren't enough to warrant a high rating for this film, Scarface now also serves as a certifiable historical documentation of the candy-colored, coke-fueled excess of the 1970's. Fascinating stuff. So if you haven't seen this one yet, don't let another day go by without renting it. And while you're at the video store, say hello to my li'l frene...damn, I was trying not to do that...

  Brian De Palma dedicates this 1983 feature to Howard Hawks and Ben Hecht, authors of the 1932 original, though I doubt they would find much honor in his gory inflation of their crisp, 90-minute comic nightmare into a klumbering, self-important, arrhythmic downer of nearly three hours.
