Richard Pryor shines in this leading role, showing that he can pull off being a serious actor, and mixing in the comedic moments. Pryor is very good in the role. His dynamic persona is displayed through out the movie. This is a great comedy, but if it was anybody else besides Richard Pryor playing the leading role, it would be just another middle of the road comedy. 8/10, it's a must see for any Pryor fan, and if you like good comedies, then you won't be disappointed.
