A wonderfully entertaining horror/black comedy. The cast is perfect, the soundtrack is a cult classic, and the film mixes laughs and shocks seamlessley. The film's closing scene is one of my favourite movie moments of all time

This film is fantastic, i love it and it have such a great soundtrack to go with it. This is another show of how great the movies were back in the 80s and a great cast make this a must see movie.

This is one of the movies that is quite polarized. Never met anyone that thinks it's ok, just great revival of the vampire film or the degrading of it. I have to say I fall into the first one. I wish I had seen this when it was in theaters (I had to choose, this or Monster Squad... still think I chose right, but close) This was a start that was likely in a small way at least the inspiration for later projects like Blade and the Buffy tv show.

All around a much watch.

+ great ending + some good parts + some really funny parts - majority of the movie is dominated by crappy special effects - horrible music - lots of crappy visuals - hillarious vampire rules that keep adding up - scenes drag on to do nothing

Way up there amongst the best Vampire movies ever! Keifer sutherland looks fantastic, and this was actually the first thing i ever saw him in, and when i saw it which was over 10 years ago, he was not really a house-hold name like he is these days, specially because of 24, the movie is very atmospheric in parts, and has its comedy sides, and is all rounded up by the awesome soundtrack, which i still listen to today! god bless the 80's! =)

The mystery of who the head vampire is, Jason Patric debating on becoming a vampire, the Corys, and one of Keifer's early performances as a bad guy....now this is entertainment!
