This flick had me laughing the entire time & I saw it years & years ago & still can laugh as hard today. Haven't loved another Steve Martin movie as much ever. The plot, characters and pace were made for no one else to star in but the entire cast, especially him. Anything else would have been like the movie Ray without Jamie Foxx starring as Ray Charles. This makes The Jerk one of my all time fav comedies, right up there with Sleeper, Blazing Saddles, and Monty Python & The Holy Grail.

"The Jerk" is really a clever comedy starring Steve Martin, who I'm actually not a big fan of, but I did enjoy him in this film. The story was original and the comedy was fresh.
