It was really nice to see a change of pace for Clint Eastwood. He goes from his normal action star films to this really fun movie. Eastwood stars as bareknuckle fighter Philo Beddoe who happens to own a orang-utan named Clide. I first saw this movie when I was a really young kid and still love it today. No one thought Eastwood could do comedy and he sure proved them wrong. This movie has a whole bunch of unforgettable characters including the Black Widow gang who just can't quite get their revenge on Beddoe. I actually feel sorry for Beddoe when he chases Lynn Halsey-Taylor (Sondra Locke) and gets the cold shoulder at the end. I recommend this movie to everyone out there especially families.
