Janeane Garofalo's character is meant to be a cog in the comedic vehicle. But striking at the intellectual heart of her character...would an audience full of them give this movie a thumbs up? I doubt the writers meant for her comedia to be representative of the underlying theme, but alas, it does.
Mira Sorvino, academy award winning actress, and Lisa Kudrow, play stereo-typical roles of what we expect blonde's to be like. I enjoyed the simplicity of it, but was hard pressed to not be diverted by the fact that people are much more complex than this. Thankfully though, there was always another moment of comedy, well timed, well played out...but it just wasn't enough for me.
