Fargo is one of the best movies that the Coen brothers have made so far, maybe even THE best. Fargo is a very different movie, especialy it´s Mood and atmosphere. It´s set in a dark and snowy enviorment. The script, most noticably the dialouge is fantastic, it´s pretty mutch the best you can do when it comes to dialouge, it can be compared to movies like Pulp Fiction. The directing is very good at times, some experimental camera angels. The acting is brilliant from everyone: William H. Macy, Steve Buscemi, Peter Stormare and of cource Francis McDormand. While Fargo is a dark and brutal thriller it allso has a lot of good and smart humor in it, and that´s another thing the Coens are realy good at. Fargo is with no doubt one of the best movies from the 90:s and it´s recomended for everyone.

I have to admit the Coen brothers came up with an outstanding film on this one, well-acted, dark AND funny, a haunting score, and a spot-on satire of life in the upper midwest.

How can you not like a movie that diabolically underlights the Paul Bunyan statue (and adds creepy music) in Brainerd, Minnesota? Two promiscuous barflies from Chaska and LeSueur? The characters are well-cast in this movie, the stereotypes fun and often accurate, and still there is a sense that a seamy underside can exist in the most unlikely of places. Fantastic cinematogaphy, well-drawn characters, and a hero scenario of Frances McDormand as a local cop who can still beat them all. If you ever meet any Minnesota/North Dakota residents that tell you the accents and mannerisms are unrealistic - don't believe them.

If they made more movies like this in the last 30 years, I might actually pay for a ticket more than once every two years.

Macy was just perfect for this role. It was one great movie.

Fargo is a thrilling eye opener to the things that people will for money. Its a great film for the more mature audiences as there is a lot of swearing and some gruesome scenes although the film is greatly acclaimed and well worth a see.

The films acting is top notch with some great performances and the whole story is made believable. I highly recommend this film.
