Okay, the movie might not have been as good as the show, but come on! Why did so many people have trouble with it? I found this movie very enjoyable, once I stopped comparing it to the show. I mean, we couldn't have had the show without the movie....

Okay, the movie might not have been as good as the show, but come on! Why did so many people have trouble with it? I found this movie very enjoyable, once I stopped comparing it to the show. I mean, we couldn't have had the show without the movie. Granted, it was an early-nineties movie, which hurt some of the quality but this movie sparked a giant cult-fan gathering. I also though that Kristy had better muscles than Sarah. This is basically a classic. Flawed, but classic none the less.

TV show good...movie bad. I am a big fan of the television show, but the movie was just awful and the acting was bad. I really wanted Paul Ruebens to die quicker because he was so annoying (he had a very long death scene). I actually read some good reviews on this movie. The best part about this movie was when the credits rolled. So why did I give it one star? Because if I had to choose between this and Date Movie, I would choose this.

Let me say that I was never a fan of the movie "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." It is just a silly concept that I will never understand. Plus, the acting is just horrendous.

This movie is pretty lame but I've liked this movie since it came out when I was little. Honestly the TV show is MUCH better than the movie.

The acting is decidedly poor, especially from Kristy Swanson, the story is predictable and unoriginal, and the horror is cheesy. Only for die-hard fans of the show who want to know how it all began.

  Buffy is amusing for a time but its destiny is to die in a disappointing, long-winded conclusion. The second half feels stretched out and muddled, as if screenwriter Joss Whedon drove a stake through his script. However, in his depiction of the vapid SoCal world, Whedon knows the territory.
